How to Get Here
If you are coming from the Canso Causeway...
Follow T.C.H. 105 East for about 100 kilometers to Exit 12 (you can also use this exit to start your trip around the Cabot Trail) turn left and go 5 km to the government wharf just before the Englishtown Ferry.
If you are coming from Sydney
Stay on the 125 HWY until you get to EXIT 1W, that will put you on the TCH 105 WEST stay on this until you get to EXIT 12 Englishtown Ferry, Ingonish . Take this exit HWY 312 and we're 5.5 kms just before the Englishtown Ferry.
If you are coming from Ingonish
Stay on the Cabot Trail and take all the signage for the Englishtown Ferry . The 2 minute crossing on the 12 car ferry is $5.00 for car and passengers . When you get off the ferry turn right and we are located 1000 feet, at the Fisherman's wharf. Watch for the fishing boats!
Coming by Cruise Ship:
If you are coming into Sydney on a cruise ship and would like to do my tour you can either rent a taxi or arrange to rent a car at Budget, Hertz, Enterprise or Discount. They will pick you up and bring you back to the ship.
While in the area you can spend some time to enjoy the 'Shores of St. Ann's'
When you get off my boat you can take the Englishtown Ferry, a small 12 car ferry that runs every 5 minutes ( $5.00 per car) and take a scenic drive along part of the Cabot Trail. This stretch of the Trail is home to a variety of Artisan studios. Take a break at one of the many great eateries: The Clucking Hen Deli and The Lobster Galley. You can drive to Cape Smokey and gaze out at the Atlantic and see the Bird Islands from another vantage point.
When you are driving back towards the ferry you can turn right at Barrachois and on this stretch of the Cabot Trail there are some more of the Artisan shops, and the only Gaelic College in North America. This will take you back to the TCH 105.
If you have time, you can take a drive into Baddeck and see why they are a 'Community in Blooms' winner (4 blooms !), the Alexander Graham Bell Historic Site, great shops, eateries and maybe even find some local music! This quick taste of the area is sure to have you making plans to come back!
